Thank you for spending a part of your weekend
at Silverdale – I’m so glad you’re here. No matter which campus you’re at, or where
you’re watching this, you are a part of the Silverdale family. This weekend we welcome these new members:
Samantha Wilkinson / Adam & Katie Wann / Cole Smith / Moises & Lauren Ortiz / Bert & Becky
McNew / Duane & Jeanette Nickols / Josh & Erica Fox / and Dr. Tonya Brown. * Your next chance to join us is in September
at North Ooltewah or two different classes in October at Bonny Oaks. Membership 101 is your chance to discover
all about us, how we operate, who leads us, what we believe, and why. Find the link to sign up for Membership 101
on the eBulletin page of silverdalebc.com. * Guys, did you know that actively watching
a football game on TV burns as many calories as a 90-minute brisk walk? If you’re going to spend a Saturday watching
football, then you need a good breakfast. You’ll get that and then some at The Man Cave
Men’s Breakfast. It happens on Saturday, September 7 in the
lower gym on the Bonny Oaks campus. No registration needed, show up – an be
sure to wear your team’s colors. * When was the last time you spent a memorable
weekend with your better half? You know, one that didn’t include errands
or yard work or sitting the stands or helping the kids with homework? Well, there’s a weekend coming up in January
where you can make some lasting memories together. It’s Silverdale’s Mystery of Oneness marriage
retreat in beautiful Gatlinburg. This retreat is going to be so much fun, and
you create moments you and your spouse will never forget. Registration is open now at silverdalebc.com. * Imagine that you couldn’t go home? That circumstances and conditions dictated
that for the next several months you couldn’t step foot into a house, you called your own. Instead, you’re placed in a different home
for a little while, with people you don’t know in a place that isn’t familiar but is
safe. Now imagine you’re a kid. That is what happens all over our area every
day. And that is why the Tennessee Baptist Children’s
Home exists. They train people to be foster parents so
they can love and minister to these when they need them the most and give them a safe place
to land. The next training session – called PATH
– begins Thursday, September 5 on the Bonny Oaks Campus. Register online now at silverdalebc.com and
become that safe place for a child in need.
