  1. the ball is a foot long and the beginning of each half begins with a kickoff. are you suggesting basketball should be called handball? should golf be called clubball? should baseball be called batball? should hockey be called stickpuck? should standard tennis be racketball? you act as if the standard naming of a sport is a combination of the name of the object the player attempts to move and what it is moved with. really what you call football is the only major sport that goes by that standard.

  2. In Lubbock Texas, American Football at the university stadium has the highest attendance of any religious service for 100 miles. They pay their tithe at the gate, go to their pew, show the icon of their faith (the team logo), chant to bring forth the holy team spirit, praise their idols, have holy communion with bread and alcohol (beer & hot dogs), and occasional human sacrifice. And with 501c3 tax exemption, it matches every requirement to be defined as a religion (albeit, very violent).

  3. people who understand football, including english players that were there when he scored the hand of god, even they don't let that bitterness stop them from saying he's better.

  4. jjajjaja que pelotudo que sos, mete un gol con la mano y eso borra todo lo que hizo con la seeccion de Argentina y jugando en diferentes equipos de Europa? jajjajaj que pensas que todos los goles que metio los hizo con la mano??

  5. ya because Maradona was an amazing quarterback for the New York giants right? I'm sure the White House holds events to honor his achievements in the NFL to this day even though he retired long ago

  6. They feel bitter? Nah, it's not like Maradona had a clean hand in that match. It should've drawed at 1-1 then we could've see England V. Argentina in extra time. How can they feel bitter of something the Laws of the Game wouldn't allow? They should feel cheated is more corrected term.

  7. No, there could be cooler poster boys for cocaine. Once it becomes legal, I wouldn't hire Maradona as a poster boy. He doesn't take both coke and Coca-Cola at the same time.

  8. hahaha shit no way man, did u get to approach him for a picture or autograph or were there too many bodyguards around them?

  9. LMAO Nah, I just watched Brasil V. Portugal at Gillette Stadium that night. I knew when I heard they were hanging out the next day. You can even see a photo of them on Pele's Facebook.

  10. As a River Plate fan I have had a love/hate relationship with Maradona. Of course I hated him with bosta juniors but loved him on the National team. I saw him play in 1994 vs Greece and Nigeria and cannot forgive him for the positive test. His supporters blame some FIFA conspiracy. but he did it to himself

  11. i dont praise maradona. but i surely consider football as my religion, my faith, my escape, and my love. i dont care if i sound batshit insane but its the truth and many others believe so

  12. DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA ES HINCHA DEL EQUIPO MAS GRANDE DE LA ARGENTINA
                                      CLUB ATLETICO BOCA JUNIORS.

DIEGO ARMANDO MARADONA IS A FAN OF THE GREATEST TEAM IN ARGENTINA

                                      CLUB ATLETICO BOCA JUNIORS.

  13. This is more better than those fucking Christians, their stupidity, and their stupid imaginary gods and their imaginary friend named Jesus Christ! lmao

  14. Though not a fan of this sport, I can get behind this religion. It gives followers a sense of awe and identity without the supernatural nonsense.

  15. WTF I'm a 22 years old Argentinian and I didn't know this was a thing.
Not all of us are Maradonians hahaha

  16. Και έσται τα ελέη του μεγάλου Θεού και Σωτήρος ημών Ιησού Χριστού μετά πάντων ημών

  17. I got to hold one of maradona’s jerseys today because a former World Cup australia captain came to my school and showed us it, it was so cool

  18. THAT ALL WHY WERE CHAMPIONS IN '86?
IF EVERYONE WAS STUPID AS THE ARGENTINIANS WOULD HAVE.
THE CHURCH OF PELÉ 58,62,70, THE CHURCH OF ROMARIO AND RONALDO 94 AND 98, OF PAOLO ROSSI 82, THE CHURCH OF ZIDADENE 98, CHURCH OF GERAD MULLER 74 AND MANY OTHERS. AFTER 86, THEY GOT NO MORE.
