Homecoming Football Game 2016

Huskies Hosting the Shamrocks of East Detroit
for Northern’s Homecoming Game. Looking to extend their win streak to 4 after
a week 1 loss. Steve Mason the Ball Carrier for the Huskies,
filling in for Travis Hughes Huskies Offense struggled to get going early
– settling for a field goal in the first quarter
But they fake it as Billy Fealko moves the sticks on 4th down before being tackled at
the one yard line. That sets up this one yard Touchdown run from
Steve mason, making the score 7-0. Second Quarter, Fealko wastes no time connecting
with Senior Matt Baravik to make the score 14-0. That wasn’t all for Baravik as he was also
crowned homecoming King at halftime. Congratulations Matt. However, that was the only score for Fealko
as tragedy struck in the 2nd quarter. Fealko with the keeper takes a mean hit to
the Right knee that will remove him from the game. Lets take a look at that again. Ouch! Fealko was replaced under center by Junior
Dylan Seaton for the rest of the game. After that, the Northern Defense Dominated
– Earning 2 safeties and 3 blocked punts in the effort. A Safety and a Nate Tomlinson Field Goal take
the game to 19-0 at halftime. At halftime by the way, the school honored
50 years of Husky Football, honoring players and coaches from each generation. Seen in the blue and gold coat is Former Player,
Former Coach, and former Principal Craig Dahlke. Another safety in the second half makes the
game 21-0 where it will stay until the dwindling moments of the game when the Shamrocks punch
one in. Huskies go on to win this one with a final
score of 21-6. And the Fans Rush the field! The 4-1 Huskies are now only 2 wins away from
a playoff berth. They will travel to St. Clair Shores this
Friday to take on the Lake Shore Shorians in a MAC Gold Matchup.
