Week one of the college football season
is in the books, and Michigan and Michigan State both came away with convincing victories – even though it wasn’t pretty at times. Both teams are back in action this
week against non-conference opponents. Let’s dive into the match-ups. The Wolverines are coming off of a 40 to 21 victory over Middle Tennessee State and will host Army at noon on Saturday on Fox. Michigan’s offense looked explosive at times against Middle Tennessee but there were also a few ball protection issues with four fumbles. And what was the deal with two quarterbacks on the field at the same time? Army should be a tougher opponent though, the Black Knights bring the triple option offense and a ten-game
win streak into Ann Arbor. Let’s get into the predictions, all three
of us revealed our predictions at the same time, and we all expect similar outcomes. Aaron has Michigan winning 30-7 Andrew has the Wolverines coming out on top 31 to 7. And I have them winning 31 to 14. I think Army’s offense is going to
control the ball for a good portion of the game. and I think they might be able
to score a couple touchdowns against this Wolverines defense.
up against Western Michigan at 7:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network. Michigan State’s defense looked like it was back to its 2018 form in a 28 to 7 win over Tulsa on Friday but the offense wasn’t very crisp, especially in the running game. Head Coach Mark Dantonio even called out his offense at his weekly news conference on Tuesday, saying he need to see more from that group against the Broncos who are coming off of 48 to 13 win over Monmouth. Here are our predictions. Matt has the Spartans winning 30 to 10. While Kyle has them winning 31 to 14. I think the game will be a little bit closer than that with Michigan State coming out on top 28 to 17. Do you think the Broncos have what it takes to pull off the upset? Or will Michigan State easily roll to its second victory of the season? Let us know your final score prediction
