Hello and welcome! Let’s play some rummy. I’m playing here with a real person online this way I explain all the basic rules you need to know. So that nothing will be forgotten. First I’m gonna arrange my cards before I start this way no move will be forgotten too. Every player gets 13 cards. The aim of the game is to lay out all of your cards until there is no one left. There are two possibilities to do that: You can lay out a “set/group” or a “run” and that means that you have to use at least 3 cards A “set” consists of 3 cards of the same rank but different suits. For example, 3 of spades, 3 of hearts or 3 of diamonds. A “run” means that you can use 3 consecutive cards of the same suit. For example, 1,2 and 3 of hearts or king, queen, jack of hearts and so on. Let’s start. I have to take a card first. In this case I got a joker and the line on my cards show me that I can lay out some cards. If you want to start the game you have to lay in this case at least 30 points out. That means that all the cards you want to play have to count 30 points. It’s no my opponent’s turn. As you can see on the table I used 2 jokers to start with a “run” and 2 “sets” It is all about how you lay out your cards and loose them by completing your opponent’s move. And that’s what makes it fun. It’s a traditional card game you can play online or with your family and friends at home with real cards. The circle shows you that I used my joker in order to replace the 7 in my “run”. Further I lay out a set of jacks with a joker too and a set of threes. On the right you can see whose turn it’s and how much time you have for each of your moves. You have to be fast, otherwise you will loose time for your next move. After taking a card I got a jack which I could use with my 10 of hearts unfortunately I don’t have the third right card so I just pick a card to finish my move. On your left you can see your name and how many points you have. If you have cards left on your deck at the end you did not only loose the game but you will also get penalty points. Now you can see that my opponent laid out 2 “sets”, one of three fours and one of two aces with a joker. If my opponent will get the missing card that is replacing a joker here he or she will be able to take and use it in the next round. I myself am also allowed to do that. I have to take now another card. And I got a king of hearts. As you can see in this move now it’s possible to complete a “run” from someone else just put it like me right before the 6 of crosses. That means we’re not only allowed to play with 3 cards we can complete everything that’s available on the table So I lay my 5 here where the two crosses are shown up, this way I have a “run” of a 5,6,7 and 8 of crosses. Now I have to concentrate on loosing highest cards too because at the end I will get too much penalty points if I remain with the king or the jack. Also an ace or a joker would be count a lot. I wait what my opponent will do. As you can see all “sets” and “runs” that are completed will disappear since there is nothing more left to do. My opponent just took one joker away. Then he completes the “run” I lay out before by using a joker so that there is now a 9,10 and jack of crosses. Now it’s my turn again. What will I get? I got a 2 of hearts with as you can see I can do perfectly nothing so I just put back my jack of hearts. Use your cards wisely cause it’s all about the technique. I only can wait now for my opponent’s next move. I hope of course that I will still win. No! My opponent just won! It’s really all about how to use your cards. I have only 3 cards left which is neat yet they will be count as penalty points. I have a ten of hearts and 2 more cards left. That’s not so good. Here I can still play since I did’t reach the 50 points but I have also 14 penalty points on my account. Aim of the game is to loose all your cards without getting any points. As you notice it’s a fun game and really simple to play and I hope I encourage you to play some rummy. Play it online or with your family and friends at home and just have fun. Bye!
