South Carolina football: Bobby Bentley gives first impressions of transfer Nick Muse

Starting with Nick Muse,
he is a guy that can really be a dominant end line player
with his size and athleticism.>>With Nick, what is it that makes
him really kind of that end line type?>>Well, first of all, he’s got size and
length, and he’s got length, so therefore you can be the end line guy that can
block that 280 pound 6’5″ defensive end. Yet he can still flex out and do some things on the perimeter
that you would like to do too, because we don’t substitute out personnel
and we keep our tight end in the game.>>How much do you work
him right now knowing that he might not be eligible
to play this year?>>Well, that’s the thing you
kinda just keep him ready, meeting room is very important to him. That’s where he’s gotta be the most
competitive, and to be honest with you, he’s probably one of
the alpha males in the room. He he stands out, he’s a leader. He is really gonna be special.>>What makes him that alpha male? Is that just something that
you’re kinda born with, something that he learned playing
football with his brother?>>I think when you think about Nick and
the way he’s been brought up, a tremendous family, a competitive spirit
he’s got older brother probably spiked them a little bit growing up. And he wants to get up there and beat the
big brother there with who he’s dealing with and this is a tremendous family so
I’m sure that has a lot to do with it.
