((GRANT))COLLEGE FOOTBALL PRACTICE BEGINS FRIDAY FOR THE INDIANA STATE SYCAMORES. THE MISSOURI VALLEY IS GEARING UP FOR ANOTHER BIG SEASON BY RELEASING THEIR PRESEASON RANKINGS. WHERE DID THE SYCAMORES LAND ON THIS YEAR’S LIST? LET’S FIND OUT. INDIANA STATE FOOTBALL HAS BEEN PICKED TO FINISH FOURTH IN THE M-V-F-C THIS UPCOMING SEASON. IT’S JUST THE THIRD TIME IN SCHOOL HISTORY THAT TREES HAVE BEEN PICKED FOURTH OR BETTER. THE SYCAMORES COMING OFF A 7-4 FINISH ONE YEAR AGO, AND JUST MISSING OUT ON THE F-C-S PLAYOFFS. THEY RETURN LOADS OF TALENT, ALL-AMERICAN JONAS GRIFFITH, QUARTERBACK RYAN BOYLE, AND KICKER JERRY NUNEZ TO NAME A FEW. HERE’S HOW THE POLL SHAKES OUT IN THE PRESEASON. NORTH DAKOTA STATE PICKED FIRST AND RECEIVED 32 OF THE 40 FIRST PLACE VOTES. THE BISON HAVE BEEN PICKED FIRST FOR EIGHT STRAIGHT YEARS AND HAVE WON THE LEAGUE FOR EIGHT STRAIGHT YEARS. SOUTH DAKOTA STATE IS SECOND. ILLINOIS STATE COMES IN A THIRD. AND INDIANA STATE NUMBER FOUR, THE SYCAMORES DID GET ONE FIRST PLACE VOTE.
